Sustainability, justice, and advocacy are not side projects; they are the foundation. At World Centric, we live by Integrity, Community, and Ellecent — always striving to do better. It started in 2004 with a single cup made from sugarcane waste. One small object in a world drowning in plastic, extraction, and excess. We knew a cup would not fix the system, but it challenged us to imagine one that could. Today, we design smarter products from renewable materials and give directly to grassroots efforts confronting social and environmental crises.

Reducing Waste

The average person generates over four pounds of trash daily, much of it plastic, used for moments but persisting for centuries in landfills and ecosystems. At World Centric, we create compostable packaging and foodservice ware to replace traditional plastics and foam. While we envision a future rooted in reusables, compostables offer a practical and necessary bridge toward a more circular, regenerative system that works with nature instead of against it.

As a Certified B Corp and California Benefit Corporation, we uphold high standards for ethics, sustainability, and social responsibility. Our B Corp Supply Chain score of 7.6, more than double the industry average, shows our commitment to responsible sourcing and fair labor.

We hold ourselves accountable to high social standards, conducting third-party audits to ensure safe working conditions and fair wages across our supply chain. We also provide profit-sharing bonuses to suppliers and factory workers, because justice for people is inseparable from justice for the planet.

Alleviating Extreme Poverty

Inequality is deepening, with billions lacking access to basic needs while wealth concentrates among a few. At World Centric, we believe business should drive redistribution. That’s why we donate 25% of profits annually to grassroots initiatives providing clean water, housing, healthcare, education, economic opportunities, and environmental restoration. Justice for people and the planet must move together.
